Elk Grove CA Oct 10 2012 A security guard workingnear an Elk Grove grocery store was injured after being assaulted earlySaturday morning.
According to Elk Grove Police, the 28-year old male victimwas patrolling the Winco parking lot on
Sheldon Road when 21-year old JavonBasped of
Sacramentoallegedly threw a two liter bottle at him and punched him in the face severaltimes. The victim suffered visible injuries that required medical attention.
Responding officers located the suspect walking away fromthe parking lot and after being contacted, attempt to run away. Officers wereable to capture the suspect who was positively identified by the victim.
Basped was arrested and taken to the county jail.
