NEW YORK NY Nov 262012 — A New York City police officer was arrested on shoplifting chargeson Black Friday.
Officer Jenny Mendez, 28, was arrested in the Midtown SouthPrecinct Friday and charged with petit larceny and criminal possession ofstolen property, police said.
Mendez, of the Midtown North Precinct, allegedly stoleclothes from a Midtown Manhattan store, according to the New York Post. Furtherdetails were not released.
Mendez has been suspended without pay, the Post reported.
