DARLINGTON, SC Nov27 2012- Authorities say two Darlingtonmen have died after a large home was destroyed by fire.
According to reports, 67-year-old veteran journalist DwightDana was killed in the Sunday morning fire. Also killed was his son, Radisson,who lived in a house behind the main house.
Firefighters recovered one body near the front of the houseand a second body toward the back of the house.  
Paula Dana, Dwight Dana's ex-wife, said Radisson made theinitial 911 call and told communications officers he was going into the mainhome in search of his father. Paula Dana confirmed both men were found dead.
The Darlington Fire Department spent more than two hoursbattling flames of the 110-year-old, two-story home, and remained on the sceneto find the origin.
According to his Facebook page, Dana had been with theFlorence Morning News for almost 10 years. Before that he had worked for theDarlington News and Press, The State, Coker College,and The Hartsville Messenger.
Dana graduated from the University of South Carolina.
